FAQ

1. What is the difference between single-sided black and double-sided black paperboard?

Single-sided black paperboard has a black surface with a natural pulp-colored back. It offers a premium appearance, good converting performance, and better cost efficiency for general packaging applications.

Double-sided black paperboard is fully black on both sides and throughout the core, providing a consistent black appearance without visible white edges after cutting or folding. It is ideal for premium packaging.

2. What is the difference between Black Paperboard and Black Paper Laminated Greyboard?

Black Paperboard uses an internal dyeing process, providing uniform color, stable appearance, and good processing performance for folding cartons, tags, and packaging inserts.

Black Paper Laminated Greyboard combines black paper with a greyboard core, offering higher thickness and rigidity for rigid boxes, luxury gift boxes, and premium packaging.

3. Why choose dyed black paperboard instead of surface-coated black board?

The internal dyeing process integrates black color into the paper fibers, providing better color consistency and reducing the risk of fading, black rubbing, and surface shedding. It also offers stable performance for die cutting, creasing, hot stamping, and other converting processes.

4. Does using 70% recycled pulp affect the quality of black paperboard?

No. Our black paperboard uses 30% imported wood pulp + 70% selected recycled pulp, balancing performance and cost efficiency. The wood pulp improves fiber strength, stiffness, and processing stability, making it a reliable and cost-effective solution for mid-range packaging applications.

5. Can Black Paperboard be customized?

Yes. We provide customized solutions including GSM, thickness, sheet size, and single-sided or double-sided black structures to meet different packaging requirements.
